The exhibition at the Palazzo Reale, curated by Pascale Picard, the director of the civic museums of Avignon, and promoted and produced by the City of Milan, presents about 200 works including works by Picasso and works of ancient art which the artist was inspired by from: the Musée National Picasso in Paris, the Musée du Louvre in Paris, the Museu Picasso in Barcelona, the Vatican Museums in Rome, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, the Musée de l'Orangerie of Paris, the Musée Picasso of Antibes and the Center Pompidou in Paris.
