The exhibition, curated and realized by the Museum, stages a rich selection of spectacular models made in the '50s interpreting Leonardo's drawings and frescoes of 16th century Lombard painters. Next to the machines are the models of military and civil architectures in plaster and terracotta, restored in recent years and not visible for some time. The Museum thus returns to its origins, showing in an evocative way the two collections with which it opened to the public on 15 February 1953.
A unique opportunity to admire an unusual combination of art and science in a journey that crosses the different fields of interest and study of Leonardo, enhancing the historical collection of the Museum, the most important in the world.
